The Argonauts expedition was the expedition of Jason and his crew to Colchis in the Black Sea to get the golden fleece. The expedition took its name from Jason’s ship, the Argo. Argo is described as the fastest and most solid boat of its time. In addition, it was extremely lightweight, allowing it to be transported ashore by its crew.
